The cold was really starting to get me. My toes were numb, I couldn't feel my fingers, and I knew I had a thermos of coffee back at the truck. I hadn't seen a deer all morning so I decided to give up the ghost and climb down. I was supposed to meet "Doc" in 15 minutes anyway.
